Who We Seek:

PLBY Group looking for a dedicated Assistant Apparel Designer responsible with the creation of commercially viable product designs across collections. This individual will coordinate and deliver brand-right designs that tie back to the overall concept and business strategy; designing styles, curating color/print, refining fit and fabric for new/existing product lines.

What You’ll Do:

Assist VP of Design in the creation of brand-right, commercial designs that reflect the conceptual direction/business strategy
Apply a solid working knowledge of fashion trends and consumer needs to product designs.
Help deliver seasonal mood boards and concept tears, flat design sketches and CAD images/prototypes, providing clear specifications for construction
Collaborate the with team to prepare key business partners for routine and milestone meetings, including the coordination of line presentation boards and selection of product samples
Communicate ongoing development details to internal partners (i.e. Production and Merchants) and vendors, ensuring all communication is shared out to the correct people
Help create initial specs for first round prototypes as well as assisting with scheduled fittings and necessary follow-up
Track and organize development samples, ensuring they are delivered within required timelines and seamlessly passed off to key parties
Attend routine team meetings and key partner alignment sessions
Seek to improve process in order to deliver efficiently

What You’ll Bring:
Bachelor’s degree in Design or equivalent experience
Entry level with some design experience in a comparable retail environment
Exceptional talent with a trend relevant fashion eye and detail in product styling/performance
Collaborative partner with a team-oriented approach
Solid understanding and ability to communicate construction instructions
Personal professionalism and accountability
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Illustrator/Photoshop
Must have unrestricted access to work in the U.S.

In compliance with local or state law, we are disclosing the compensation range for roles in locations where legally required. The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between $20 and $30 hourly, however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position will also include a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility, sick time, flexible time away, fertility benefits, access to coaching and legal support, and pet insurance).

If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or team performance, and market factors.
