New data stemming from the latest Cambridge Centre for Alternative Finance (CCAF) report on bitcoin mining indicates that China still holds the second position in terms of global hashrate. See more for yourself here.

It seems that China does not have such a strong ban on cryptocurrency mining if this country is still ranked second in bitcoin mining. Or the authorities are not able to control the implementation of their own ban. It is possible that this also suits officials. In any case, it seems that the fight in China is not with cryptocurrency, but with the uncontrolled use of energy.
