Abkhazia extends crypto mining ban until the end of the year
The government of Abkhazia has decided to ban cryptocurrency in the region, citing the problem of electricity, banning the digital currency. The Abkhazia government decided to stop crypto until the end of 2022. In its efforts to tackle the energy crisis, the government imposed fines on the illegal use of electrical power for crypto mining. and even criminalized it. Many underground mining operations were closed in June.
