What so special about Defi?

Before now we only have be hearing about altcoins, coins and token popularly known as cryptocurrency not before we started hearing about Defi cryptocurrency project and this has triggered many things in the cryptocurrency industry and we have see how many of the Defi project are growing rapeedly I really want to know weather is different from normal crypro token, your opinion is needed here. Whats your thought?

In my opinion, it's not different from any normal crypto token/coin as defi projects is running for a long time, but one thing is sure that hype of defi is touched ATH in this year because of the benefits of uniswap liquidity system. Also, it's just like the previous "ICO Hype" which will be gone asap and new trend will be taken that place. At this moment, NFT is more hyped than Defi.
