Since we launched Eventbrite Neon, it’s been awesome to hear stories from event organisers about how they’ve become obsessed with checking their event sales, and how their team is now able to provide better customer service support on the spot. But like we promised, that was only the beginning.

We’re excited to share that you can now sell tickets to any event using Eventbrite Neon in the U.K., and sell specific seats to your reserved seating events with our latest app update.

Tracking cash sales & other payments

No matter what currency you’re using to sell tickets, you’ll now see the option to process cash sales within Eventbrite Neon, and track payments outside of the app. Credit card processing in the app is still limited to U.S. dollar events.

Once you’ve set up an event with tickets enabled for “At the door sales using Eventbrite Neon”, you’ll be able to select that event in the app. Under the Device Settings, you can choose the Payment Methods you want to allow when selling tickets with Eventbrite Neon. You can track Credit Card, Debit, PayPal, Check, Voucher, and Other Payment Methods for payments collected outside of the app. If you have another point of sale solution you use to process credit cards, you’ll want to make sure you select Credit Card, and/or Debit.

When you sell tickets and collect payment, you can tap on the payment method you selected in the Settings tab in order to complete the order. And then you can easily print out tickets, send a confirmation, or check in guests. Easy, right?!

Selling tickets to reserved seating events

We recently enhanced our reserved seating solution to allow attendees to pick their own seats, in addition to getting the best available seat assignment. Now, you can select specific seats on the seat map for reserved seating events that have enabled the pick your own seat feature.

If you select a ticket quantity, the system will automatically recommend the best available seats. You can also select any available seats in the seat map by tapping on the screen, giving you greater control and more flexibility to run your box office sales.

There are even more updates coming in the next few weeks, so follow us on the blog. In the meantime, feel free to send us your ideas and thoughts at mobilefeedback@eventbrite.com, and go download or update the app now!
