Diablo 4: Raising Spears Quest Walkthrough
Raising Spears is one of Diablo 4 Items the more obscure and lore-rich side quests in Diablo 4. Unlike many others who announce themselves with fanfare or sit directly in your path, Raising Spears is easy to overlook. It's hidden behind another short but poignant quest and requires a bit of travel and patience to unlock. If you're a Renown hunter, a lore lover, or someone who just can't leave a quest unfinished, here's a full walkthrough of how to complete-or at least attempt-Raising Spears in Diablo 4.
How to Unlock Raising Spears
Before you can even start Raising Spears, you must complete the prerequisite side quest called Consumed by Pride. This quest introduces players to Ealda and the Crane Tribe Barbarians, who are facing internal turmoil and struggling to maintain their honor in the face of brutal threats.
Steps to unlock the quest:
1. Fast travel to Jirandai Waypoint in the Dry Steppes region.
2. Ride north to the Crane Tribe Hutmoot.
3. Speak to Ealda and complete Consumed by Pride.
4. Upon completion, Raising Spears will be automatically added to your journal.
Raising Spears Quest Objectives
Once the quest is active, you'll again be working with Ealda, this time on a mission to recover Diablo 4 Items of cultural importance to her tribe.
Quest Objectives:
1. Speak with Ealda to begin the ritual.
2. Travel to Champion's Demise with Ealda.
3. Collect 8 Blood-etched Spears within the dungeon.
Champion's Demise is a dungeon located relatively close to the Hutmoot. It is marked clearly on your map once the quest is active. You won't be alone-Ealda will accompany you into the dungeon, narrating as you explore.
Collecting the Blood-Etched Spears
Inside Champion's Demise, your goal is to locate and retrieve eight Blood-etched Spears, sacred relics of the Crane Tribe. Fortunately, the spears themselves are not tied to combat objectives and do not drop from enemies. Instead, they are static interactable, glowing slightly blue when hovered over, often near Stone Pedestals.
Ealda will offer some dialogue upon entering the dungeon and nearing the correct zones. The spears are scattered mostly in the first half of the dungeon, so you don't have to buy duriel mats clear the entire instance.
