The American Lifeguard usa is proud to be among a select group of national training organizations recognized by the United States Government for meeting these federal requirements. In addition, recently on April 16, 2025, the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs issued VHA Directive 1040, which formally lists the American Lifeguard Association as an approved provider of lifeguard certification.
