2. The Plot (Simple yet Catchy)
The story follows the protagonist, simply known as Boyfriend, a blue-haired rapper with big dreams. He wants to date Girlfriend, but there is a major obstacle: her father, Daddy Dearest, an ex-rockstar demon who disapproves of their relationship.
To win the right to date her, Boyfriend must defeat her father (and a host of other strange and quirky antagonists) in musical "sing-offs."
3. Gameplay Mechanics
The gameplay is accessible but challenging, reminiscent of classics like Dance Dance Revolution or PaRappa the Rapper:
The Basics: Colored arrows float up the screen. You must press the corresponding arrow keys (or W, A, S, D) in exact time with the music and the visual markers.
The Health Bar: A meter at the bottom represents the battle. Hitting notes pushes your icon (Boyfriend) into the opponent's side. Missing notes allows the opponent to push back. If the bar turns completely red, you get "Blue Balled" (Game Over).
