Barrio East transforms into a Hawaiian dream this Saturday with strictly 40’s to 60’s vinyl action on the go! Bloco Serafina Carnival
Forget about Notting Hill Carnival, this weekend is all about Bloco Serafina Carnival, bringing you an authentic Brazilian experience! Bloco Serafina will be drumming away some Samba Reggae and Afro-Brazilian rhythms; there’ll be Brazilian Drum’n’Bass from Janaina Lima; Aloísio Menezes, from the traditional carnival group ‘Filhos de Gandhy’ will be singing, bringing an intense Afro-Brazilian beat, as well as house DJ, Rodrigo da Matta, voted the best street Carnival band in São Paulo spinning some Brazilian tunes. If you fancy improving your dance moves, there’s a dance workshop to get you really moving and grooving to the Brazilian beats!

CineFringe, formerly the film festival of the Edinburgh Fringe is taking this year’s brand new collection of films on tour to various venues across the UK. Their first stop is in London (of course!) where they will be taking over the Soho Screening Rooms. CineFringe will be premiering an 87 minute selection of this year’s brand new programme of short films, painstakingly curated from 400+ entries from all over the world.
