Visa NFT Collection

The global fintech firm and the official payment partner of FIFA, Visa, has partnered with digital assets exchange Crypto.com to launch football-inspired NFTs. The two firms have fused the aspect of football, art, and NFT to develop the new NFTs.

In a November 1 press release, Visa confirmed its successful partnership with crypto exchange Crypto.com to launch NFTs. The NFT collection dubbed “Visa Master of Movement” is live for auction until November 9 on the Crypto.com market platform.

Visa Masters of Movement NFTs

The Visa Master of Movement NFT collection features tokenized unique works of art inspired by iconic FIFA World Cup goals from five legendary footballers, including Jared Borgetti, Tim Cahill, Carli Lloyd, Michael Owen, and Maxi Rodriguez.

Visa NFTs

Later this month, Visa anticipates bringing the Visa Master of Movement NFT collection into life on an interactive pitch at the highly anticipated FIFA Fan festival in Doha, Qatar, from November 19 to December 18.

During that period, Visa will allow crypto and football fans to create digital art inspired by their signature movements and mint them on crypto.com, the official crypto trading platform and the sponsor of FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022. While commenting about the NFT project, Andrea Fairchild, senior vice president and head of sponsorships at Visa, remarked:

“We want to celebrate football, art and technology through the lens of what makes the FIFA World Cup™ so special – wildly impassioned fans, legendary athletes and for a few short weeks, the ability to bring the world together in a uniquely connected way.”

Visa NFTs To Bring FIFA Fun Closer To People

Since 2007, Visa has been the official payment service partner of FIFA. In that context, the fintech firm intends to use its NFTs to offer experiences that bring people closer to the action, whether they will be among the 1 million fans anticipated to attend in Qatar or the 5 billion viewers expected to follow the event online.

During the FIFA Fan Festival, fans will get a chance to learn about new ways Visa enables funds movement across the world, including emerging technologies like crypto and other digital solutions that provide more people with access to the global economy.

It’s worth noting the new NFT project appeared a few days after Mike Kondoudis, the intellectual property attorney, revealed that Visa had filed two trademark applications with United States Patents and Trademark Office related to NFT and Metaverse.

According to data submitted, the fintech firm showcased plans to offer digital services, including managing virtual assets, creating a crypto wallet, and providing virtual environments.

In the meantime, Visa Master of Movement NFT collections is live for auction until November 9, 2022. According to Visa, all proceeds from the NFT sales will benefit UK charity Street Child United.
